SEMH Teaching Assistant Do you have experience working with children/young people with SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health) difficulties or PTSD? Prospero Teaching are recruiting for a committed individual to join the team on a full time basis, supporting children with SEMH needs. You will be supporting students on a 121 or small group basis. You must also be available full time, part time applicants will not be considered by the client. CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS Location Ardwick Position Learning Support Assistant Start Date October 24 End Date Ongoing Full time Hours 8:30am 4pm The Minimum Rate of Pay GBP95 per day EXPERIENCE Relevant experience in a school or similar setting. Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and/or social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Experience of effectively and positively managing a class and leading learning with groups of pupils, using appropriate strategies to enable them to settle to learn. TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS GCSE English/Maths at grade A to C or equivalent. Commitment to all CPD offered. Team Teach training would be beneficial to this role, however this can be provided for free. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide a minimum of two professional related references Provide a full CV from high school to present with gaps explained
