Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Hays Education works with a wide range of SEN schools in Manchester and surrounding areas. By working with Hays, you will be working with a dedicated consultant who will work to your requirements to find your next role. You will receive support throughout the whole interview process, from the initial application stage all the way through to starting the role and beyond. The roles will be flexible to suit your needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing tailored support to each individual student with SEN
  • Creating a positive and supporting learning environment
  • Implementing individual behaviour management plans
  • Working closely with parents, teachers and therapists to support students' development

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with pupils with SEN
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting pupils with SEN
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Strong understanding of de-escalation and calming techniques
  • Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle
