About the Role:

Hays Education is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a dedicated SEN primary school in Trafford. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis, with the potential for the role to become permanent. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and are committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support students in achieving their specific learning goals.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a primary school setting.
