Job Title: Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester Pay Rate: GBP95 per day Hours: 8:30 am 3:30 pm Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-time (Long-term) About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support for a Year 1 pupil with additional needs in a welcoming school in Wythenshawe. This full-time role requires a compassionate and resilient individual with experience in supporting children with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, or other learning and behavioural needs. Your Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 tailored support for a Year 1 pupil with SEN in the classroom and during structured activities. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment to help the pupil thrive. Monitor and record progress, communicating effectively with staff and parents. What Were Looking For: To excel in this role, you should have: Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a school setting. A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with children. A commitment to promoting inclusion and supporting the childs educational and emotional development. Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must: Hold the Right to Work in the UK. Possess an enhanced child-barred DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or be willing to process a new application). Provide two professional references related to childcare or education. Have up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, though training can be provided).
