About the Role:

Hays Education is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a dedicated school in Tameside. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced KS3 SEN Teacher to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of KS3 students with special educational needs.
  • Develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) to support students' learning and development.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with KS3 students with special educational needs.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN strategies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
