Reeson Education is recruiting a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Mentor to join a specialist setting in Manchester. This full-time, long-term role offers the opportunity to work with pupils of all ages with a range of special educational needs, from moderate to more complex needs.
As a Learning Support Mentor, you will play a crucial role in supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development. You will work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis, ensuring that each student receives the tailored support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities for the Learning Support Mentor:

Support pupils of all ages with various special educational needs, adapting your approach to meet individual needs.

Work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO to implement learning activities and strategies.

Provide support with personal care, social skills, and learning tasks, helping pupils to thrive in the classroom.

Foster a positive, inclusive environment to encourage the development of key life and academic skills.

Assist in the creation of individual learning plans and monitor pupil progress.
Ideal Candidate for the Learning Support Mentor Role:

Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) or in a similar support role.

Passionate about making a difference in the lives of pupils with diverse needs.

Adaptable and patient, with a strong ability to manage behaviour in a calm and consistent manner.

Willing to work as part of a team, supporting both pupils and colleagues.

Ideally, a Learning Support Mentor with an empathetic, proactive approach to supporting children's development.
