About the Role:

Educate GM’s partner school are seeking compassionate and driven SEN Practitioners to support students with special educational needs. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience while contributing to the well-being and academic development of children and young people.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Delivering tailored one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN
  • Assisting teachers in planning and implementing individual education plans
  • Encouraging students to engage in their learning and build confidence
  • Providing emotional and behavioural support to students
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN in a school, care, or community setting (essential)
  • Understanding of various SEN needs such as autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
  • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or social care (desirable)
  • A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS)
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history, and any employment breaks must be explained.
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK
