Position: SEN PractitionerLocation: FallowfieldContract Type: Full-Time, Contracted Salary: £90-£105Start Date: April 2025
About the Role:
Educate GM’s partner school are seeking compassionate and driven SEN Practitioners to support students with special educational needs. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience while contributing to the well-being and academic development of children and young people.
Your Responsibilities:
- Delivering tailored one-to-one and small group support to students with SEN
- Assisting teachers in planning and implementing individual education plans
- Encouraging students to engage in their learning and build confidence
- Providing emotional and behavioural support to students
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN in a school, care, or community setting (essential)
- Understanding of various SEN needs such as autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or social care (desirable)
- A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (DBS)
- Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history, and any employment breaks must be explained.
- You must have the legal right to work in the UK
