We are seeking an inspiring Lead SEN Teacher to lead this exceptional school and drive its development to new heights.

Key Details:

  • Position: SEN teacher (LEAD SEN Teacher)
  • Location: Greater Manchester (exact location undisclosed)
  • Salary: £35k base (can be discussed)
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Start Date: Immediate or as soon as possible

Essential Requirements for the Lead SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a minimum of two years of middle leadership experience.
  • Proven experience in teaching and leading within a SEND setting.
  • Strong understanding of autism, ASC, and behaviour management strategies.
  • Outstanding organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to inspire and develop a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable Experience and Qualifications for the Lead SEN Teacher:

  • Additional SEN qualifications (or willingness to train).
  • Experience with Ofsted inspections and achieving high regulatory standards.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing bespoke curriculums.

Responsibilities of the Lead SEN teacher:

  • Lead the day-to-day organisation and strategic development of the school.
  • Oversee the deployment and performance management of all teaching and support staff.
  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring compliance with all safeguarding standards.
  • Develop inclusive, innovative curriculums tailored to individual pupil needs.
  • Monitor and enhance the quality of teaching, pupil outcomes, and school experiences.
  • Foster strong relationships with families, local authorities, and external agencies.
  • Lead Ofsted preparations and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Manage resources, risk assessments, and health & safety protocols.
  • Deliver staff training and professional development initiatives.
