SEN Teacher -

Prospero Teaching are recruiting on behalf of a SEN high school in Manchester that caters to students with autism, ADHD, and other social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team and provide high-quality education in a nurturing and supportive environment.

This school takes a child-centred approach, ensuring that every student has access to a tailored curriculum that meets their individual needs. The successful candidate will be working closely with a team of experienced SEN professionals, including teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral support staff, to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

The Role:

  • Teaching a small class of students with additional learning needs, adapting lessons to meet their individual abilities and EHCP targets
  • Creating and delivering engaging lessons with a focus on developing key life skills alongside academic progress
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies and promoting emotional well-being
  • Working closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure each child's needs are met

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent SEN teaching qualification
  • Have experience working with students with autism, ADHD, or SEMH needs
  • Be passionate about inclusive education and able to adapt teaching methods to support individual learners
  • Have excellent classroom management skills and experience using positive behaviour strategies
  • Be proactive, resilient, and committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of young people
