Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Needs Teacher to join their dynamic team in January 2025, their is the possibility for an earlier start for a handover period too. In this role, you will be working with students at Key Stage 3/4 who have ASD and complex needs. Your primary focus will be to provide tailored education, support, and guidance to help these students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess tailored lessons to meet the unique needs of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with support staff and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to education.
  • Monitor and track student progress and make necessary adjustments to individual education plans.
  • Foster a supportive and respectful relationship with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with ASD.
  • Strong understanding of individualised education plans (IEPs) and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet student's needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for special education and a commitment to helping students succeed.
