We are seeking dedicated and qualified SEN Tutors to join our growing team in Manchester. As an SEN Tutor, you will provide tailored one-on-one educational support to students with special educational needs, helping them reach their full potential. You will work closely with families and other professionals to develop personalised learning plans, delivering engaging and effective lessons to meet each student's unique needs.

Location: Manchester and surrounding areas

Position: Full-time / Part-time up to 25 hours a week per student Salary: Competitive, depending on experience up to £35per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions for students with a variety of special educational needs.
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents and other professionals.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
  • Build positive relationships with students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and parents on progress and areas for development.
  • Support students with emotional, behavioural, and academic challenges.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification (such as a degree in Special Education or SEN training).
  • Previous experience working with students with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A commitment to helping students achieve their personal best.
