Job Description:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the learning and development of students with a range of special educational needs, working closely with teachers and other staff to ensure each child receives the tailored support they need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
- Help develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet the needs of each student.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Key Requirements:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a primary school setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable).
