Job Description:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the learning and development of students with a range of special educational needs, working closely with teachers and other staff to ensure each child receives the tailored support they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Help develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet the needs of each student.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and strategies to support students with diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable).
