Role: Teacher of Special Education Needs Location: Greater Manchester Rate of pay £30 - £35 per hour (36 hours paid) Type: Temporary Eden Brown are looking for a teacher of Special Education Needs on behalf of a leading Further Education College in Greater Manchester. This is a temporary part time role of 4 days per week, Monday to Thursday to cover sickness. You will be teaching EHCP learners with learning disabilities at Entry level on a range of different sessions, including initial and baseline assessments. Sessions include Enterprise, Community, Cooking, Co-creation, Communication, literacy and numeracy. The successful candidate will also plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with EHCPs * Monitor and assess progress, adapting teaching methods to suit each learner's requirements * Collaborate with support staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and review EHCPs * Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment * Provide pastoral care and ensure safeguarding policies are followed * Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHCP annual reviews The Ideal Candidate Will Have: * A teaching qualification (CertEd, QTS, or equivalent) * Experience working with young people with SEND, ideally within an FE setting * A strong understanding of EHCP processes and the ability to differentiate learning * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * The ability to inspire, motivate, and support students with diverse learning needs A current DBS on the update is also needed for this role.
