ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching is looking for a confident and energetic Sports Coach to engage students in a Secondary SEMH Alternative Provision in Northenden.
You will be needed to deliver PE sessions across all ages. You must be confident in implementing the school sport programme effectively promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles and be a perfect role model for pupils who are disengaged with their studies.
The school is for students in Key Stage 2 Key Stage 4, many of whom have found it difficult to be successful in a mainstream school and some with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school is a provision for a range of needs, including autistic spectrum disorder, Aspergers Syndrome, speech and language difficulties and severe social, emotional and mental health difficulties, for example, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),
The position is open to all experienced and those who have a strong background in delivering and mentoring sports to children and young adults. Depending on performance, the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in a similar setting / SEMH/ PRU
LEVEL 2 Teaching Assistant/or equivalent and above is preferable
GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
Team Teach qualified (or signed up to attend the with our agency)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
