Meridian Business Support Education division are working on behalf of a School in the Greater Mancheter. They require an experienced Admin Officer to work in their school.

Role: School Admin Officer

Our client islooking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Administrator within the Centre Team. Are you versatile, adaptable and an enthusiastic Office Administrator, with a willingness to adapt to every changing situation.
We hope to recruit someone who can work independently and manage time well to deliver administrative support to the school team.
A suitable applicant would possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and be fluent in a range of organisational and IT processes.

The ideal candidate will have
  • Have a high level of emotional intelligence
  • Be able to manage multiple complex priorities under pressure
  • Be able to build and maintain good relationships with pupils, parents and carers, staff, schools, youth workers and educational and safeguarding professionals
  • Be able to manage their own time and work to deadlines
  • Have experience of handling sensitive and confidential material
  • Understand and support the schools policies and ethos
  • Have a thorough understanding of safeguarding and its application and implementation
  • Have excellent ICT skills (Familiarity with MS Office is essential. Knowledge of SIMS, class charts or CPOMS is desirable)
  • Be able to work in a team and have a good sense of humour
The school provides full time education for pupils between 11-16 who are permanently excluded, at risk of permanent exclusion or are otherwise unable to access a mainstream curriculum.Their aim is to match provision closely to the needs of individual children and young people referred to them by schools, academies or the local authority.

All staff are expected to be flexible about where in Manchester they are based and may be asked to work at any of their centres across Manchester city.
