Senior Category Manager

Our client:

• We’ve been asked to find a driven and tenacious Category professional to join the UK arm of a sizeable European category leader.
• With a real strong hold in the UK market, they supply all UK major grocery retailers alongside other and specialist customer channels.

The role:

• We’re looking to recruit a hungry and driven individual keen to make an impact and drive the performance of a sizeable portfolio of brand and private
• This is an ideal opportunity for anyone with a 2-3 years Category Management experience looking to push on and accelerate their career development.
• As Senior Category Manager, you will report to a Director, and operate within a matrix structure across multiple manufacturing sites.
• You will be responsible for influencing category performance across leading grocery customers - Coop, Morrisons, Asda and Ireland.
• You will work closely with the Senior Commercial Managers assigned to each customer unit, utilising numerous category data sources like Kantar.
• As a business they invest heavily in all relevant category, shopper and consumer data from which you will be expected to identify opportunities and influence sales direction.

Ideal candidate:

• To be considered for this role you will be degree educated and currently be operating in a similar role within the FMCG sector.
• The role will suit those with 2-3 years Category Management experience, looking to advance their career by working with large £multi-million customers within a leading multi-site manufacturing business.
• Aside from relevant experience, it is important we identify those with real drive, hungry to influence and make impact within category leading giant.

Benefits & details:

• Up to £60,000 plus benefits.
• Homebased with 2 days a week in Manchester
