Company OverviewA leading company renowned for its innovative and high-quality textiles has an exciting opportunity for a Fabric Manager to join the growing company. The Fabric Manager will be responsible for overseeing all commercial activities, driving revenue growth, managing key customer relationships, and optimizing supply chain operations. This role involves strategic planning, business development, supply chain management, and operational support to ensure the business meets its financial and operational targets.

The Role

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets.
  • Identify new market opportunities and expand the company's customer base, both domestically and internationally.
  • Lead negotiations with key clients, ensuring profitable long-term contracts.
  • Customer Relationship Management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, managing expectations and resolving any issues.
  • Work closely with the experienced team to oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, ensuring efficient procurement, production, and distribution of products.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favourable terms and secure reliable, cost-effective materials.
  • Implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
  • Monitor supply chain performance and address any disruptions or inefficiencies promptly.
  • Develop pricing strategies and policies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities, adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts, analysing performance against targets.
  • Work closely with the product development team to align product offerings with market demand.
  • Provide market feedback to guide product innovation and development.
  • Oversee the launch of new products, coordinating with marketing and sales teams to ensure successful market entry.
  • Set clear objectives, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing support and development opportunities for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.
  • Optimize commercial and supply chain processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant industry regulations.
  • Ensure margin efficiencies and operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, finance, and production to ensure alignment on company goals.
  • The ability to work across the key areas of the business, be very hands on and involved in all aspects of the business.
  • Report regularly to senior management on commercial and supply chain performance and strategic initiatives.

Skills required

  • Strong understanding of commercial processes, financial analysis, and market dynamics.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, including procurement, logistics, and inventory control.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Expertise in negotiation, with a track record of securing profitable contracts and favourable supply terms.
  • Ability to develop and implement long-term commercial and supply chain strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of influencing at all levels.
  • Deep commitment to customer satisfaction and relationship management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think critically and solve complex problems.
  • Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field (master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a commercial management role within the textile or related industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, driving business growth, and optimizing supply chain operations.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, supply chain management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
