As Global Buying Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the product strategy for a leading brand that is both innovative and commercially driven. You'll oversee the entire buying process, from strategic planning to execution, ensuring that your categories thrive in a highly competitive market. Reporting directly into the General Manager, you'll collaborate closely with Design, Planning, QA, and Marketing/Creative teams, working cross-functionally to deliver products that not only align with the brand vision but also react to the latest trends and consumer demand.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead the Full Buying Process: Manage the end-to-end buying lifecycle across multiple categories, ensuring everything from product selection to delivery runs smoothly and aligns with the broader business goals.
  • People Management & Leadership: Lead and inspire a large, diverse buying team, ensuring they are motivated, empowered, and working cohesively to achieve both team and company objectives.
  • Develop & Drive Product Strategy: Contribute to the brand's product strategy with a sharp focus on growing specific categories, ensuring every product you buy is on-trend, commercial, and resonates with your target market.
  • Trade Reactively: Stay ahead of emerging trends, identifying opportunities to capitalise on market shifts and making quick decisions to ensure commercial success.
  • Financial Mastery: Own the financials-margins, stock flow, sales targets, and market data-making sure the business hits its KPIs while optimising the product range for profitability.
  • Performance Management: Dive into the details of slow performers, managing promotions, markdowns, and stock moves to maximise profitability and sales potential.
  • Experienced People Manager: You have a strong track record of leading high-performing teams with respect, empathy, and clear direction.
