Procurement Manager | Hybrid Working | Paying up to £65k

Robert Half is partnering with a highly successful and growing global hospitality company based in its search for a Procurement Manager. Based in Manchester, this is a newly created role reporting directly to the procurement director.

As the Senior Procurement Lead you will take responsibility for managing end-to-end projects, upgrades and improvements to the hotel's operations team. You will demonstrate you are able to work with OPEX, CAPEX, FF&E and OS&E budgets and projects.

Duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Be the lead and be responsible for developing and implementing pre- and post-end procurement strategies and projects.
  • Manage stakeholder and supplier relationships to ensure effective and efficient results.
  • Focus on current and future hotel projects and closely engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Provide regular accurate project forecasts and updates to all stakeholders.
  • Analyse and manage project costs and report any variances with stakeholders across all budget streams.
  • To foster good relationships with internal, external and supplier stakeholders.
  • Providing analytical support to the Procurement Director on projects to support business decision making.
  • Ensure, along with other departments, successful and smooth project transitions
  • Identify and implement best cost purchasing and practices.
  • To review current product and services supplier pricing.
  • Produce reports of projected costs and track any savings made.
  • Support the Procurement Department and Hotels with other projects, supplier management and workload cover.
  • To review and manage supplier reviews and complete all audit reporting required.

Ideal candidate will have the following experience;

  • Degree or equivalent experience within hotel operations at a senior level.
  • 5 years or more working in hotels, procurement or project management within hotels with a proven track record delivering success.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and regulations.
  • Outstanding negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong IT Skills, good knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Willing to learn, takes responsibility, logically minded and see the bigger picture
