Procurement Pricing Manager

Location: Greater Manchester - commutable from Salford, Manchester, Bolton

Our client, a market leading supplier to the retail industry now has an excellent opportunity for a Pricing Manager to join their Procurement team at their head office in Greater Manchester.

The main role of the Procurement Pricing Manager is to be responsible for implementing strategic, tactical, and operational product pricing initiatives, and coordinating all product tender activity. The Procurement Pricing Manager will develop pricing strategies that align with market dynamics and business objectives, driving revenue growth and profitability. The Procurement Pricing Manager will play a vital role in setting product pricing to attract customers while maintaining profitability.

Accountabilities:

  • Developing and implementing pricing strategies that enhance profitability
  • Working closely with other teams to closely track movements in costs and market prices
  • Monitoring and reporting on pricing performance and competitiveness
  • Conduct price optimisation and cost-benefit analysis
  • Developing pricing proposals for tenders and new product inquiries
  • Conduct spend analysis and work closely with the Category Management team to drive tail management opportunities, including cost reduction and product rationalisation
  • Tracking market trends and keeping up to date on market prices
  • Collaborating with Procurement, Sustainability, Customer Experience, and Finance teams on pricing decisions
  • Staying updated with pricing best practices and market dynamics

Experience Required:

  • Excellent experience in a similar role, including solid exposure to managing pricing processes, implementing pricing initiatives, and creating pricing process documentation
  • Commercially astute and possess a strong understanding of pricing strategies and concepts
  • A resilient and motivated individual is required for this role in order to effectively manage relationships
  • Strong and confident team player with ability to confidently push change and direction through
  • Excellent attention to detail
