Disrepair Surveyor - Housing Association - About The Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are currently representing a Greater Manchester based Housing Association who are looking to recruit a permanent Disrepair Surveyor. This role offers £37,000 - £44,000 per annum with flexible, hybrid working and an excellent benefits package with a generous pension contribution and 26 day holiday per annum.

Disrepair Surveyor - Housing Association - About The Role:

  • Carrying out disrepair surveys and producing survey reports where necessary
  • Receive and acknowledge claims relating to the Pre-action Protocol for Housing Conditions claims and deal with all aspects of litigated and non - litigated housing disrepair cases
  • Obtain relevant and necessary evidence (experts or otherwise), liaising with experts as necessary at the outset
  • Ensure that any relevant parties are kept updated and fully informed as to the progress of any claims to reduce any potential exposure/liability, minimise reputational loss and complaints and manage the client’s expectations
  • Monitor and report on the status of all disrepair claims and represent at court when necessary

Disrepair Surveyor - Housing Association - What You Need:

  • Full UK driving licence and access to own car
  • HNC in Building Surveying or equivalent
  • Experience within a Social Housing environment is desirable
