- Selling equipment or the company product installed base, or similar products supplied by competitors into the industrial markets.
- Maintaining relationships with key clients, particularly EPCs and framework partners.
- External sales / business development in municipal wastewater treatment (Machinery).
- Liaising with clients / contractors, suppliers, subcontractors.
- Raising awareness of the business with municipal framework customers and their Tier 1 contractors.
- Ensuring that the business is involved in the early stages of key projects.
- Reviewing enquiry documents, assessing and interpreting client requirements.
- Compiling tender and costing documentation.
- Proactively seeking ways to differentiate the offer.
- Attending customer meetings to lead or assist with tender submission, negotiation and contract construction.
- Ensuring compliance in tenders with UK and Ireland health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Using the company CRM system, ensuring that it is maintained up to date with respect to sales activity.
- Familiarity with process plant. Experience from Water Treatment would be an advantage.
- Good communication skills – able to work well with customers and colleagues.
- Forward planning abilities, analytical skills, and capable of instilling customer confidence.
- Self-motivated, proactive and enthusiastic.
