Got a thing for cranes, rigging, and solving problems that weigh more than your car?
We’re on the hunt for a Technical Sales Representative to join our Lifting by Design team. This isn’t your average sales gig — we’re talking about helping customers with heavy lifting challenges using a mix of top-notch products and clever design solutions. Basically, if you know your slings from your shackles and can charm clients while figuring out how to lift really heavy stuff, we need to talk.
This new service is all about filling the gap between standard products and bespoke manufacturing — giving customers tailored solutions for their most complicated lifting problems.
What You’ll Be Doing (Besides Looking Cool in a High-Vis Vest):
- Making Money Move – Help grow the business by working with crane companies, heavy transport firms, design consultants, and big-name contractors.
- Problem Solver Extraordinaire – Be the go-to person between customers and design engineers to create lifting solutions that actually work.
- Business Hunter – Use your past crane and machinery experience to spot and secure new opportunities.
- Networking Ninja – Get out there, meet people, and generate leads like a pro.
- Sales Superstar – Deliver slick presentations to senior managers and represent the company at trade days (bonus points if you can make “load-bearing capacity” sound exciting).
- Master of Time – Plan your calls, meetings, and travel like a boss.
Keeping the Wheels Turning:
- Customer Whisperer – Build strong relationships with customers, solve their problems, and keep them coming back for more.
- Data Guru – Keep CRM systems updated, track your KPI reports, and generally make sure the numbers make sense.
- Rule Follower (Most of the Time) – Stick to company procedures and compliance standards.
- Team Player – Work well with other departments and be the person everyone actually likes having in meetings.
- Professional Vibes Only – Show up looking sharp, drive safely, and generally be someone people trust.
What You Need to Bring:
- Experience in lifting equipment and complex rigging setups.
- Solid knowledge of heavy lifting and mobile cranes (if you can name more than five types of slings, you’re already ahead).
- Ability to read lift plans and technical drawings without needing to Google it.
- Appointed Person Certificate = big bonus points.
- Comfortable with CRM systems and Microsoft Office (or at least good at pretending).
