I am looking for a Senior Transport Planner in Manchester that wants to get involved in Sustainable projects such as Solar & Off Shore Wind Farms.

As a Senior Transport Planner you would be joining an international, multi-disciplinary's Transport Planning team that has been established over 30 years in Manchester. Current workload includes projects such as a 4,000 home new garden village and a number of sustainable energy schemes.

They are willing to pay up to 45,000 plus annual bonus for the Senior Transport Planner position.

You will need to demonstrate a solid experience portfolio within development planning, including Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and Transport Statements. It would be also beneficial to have experience working on Public Sector schemes with Local Authorities but this isn't essential.

Senior Transport Planner Requirements

  • Experience of producing Transport Assessments and Travel Plans.
  • Experience of analysing, collating and interpreting data.
  • Knowledge of highway design principles relevant to site access design.
  • An ability to use AutoCAD and GIS software.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience of software packages such as TRICS, Junction 10 and LinSIG.
  • Previous UK work experience.
  • An understanding of the UK planning process and how your work fits into that.
  • Some experience of developing and maintaining client relationships would be advantageous.
  • Degree or Masters in a relevant subject (e.g. transport planning, civil engineering, geography).
  • Professional Accreditation, such as CIHT, CILT, TPP, CIHT or ICE.
