Job Title: EYFS Tutor for 5-Year-Old Male

Job Type: Part-Time - 5 Hours a week subject to increase
Salary: 25-35ph depending on experience

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EYFS Tutor to provide one-on-one educational support for a 5-year-old boy based in Manchester. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, creative, and patient, with a passion for working with young children. As an EYFS Tutor, you will be responsible for supporting the child's academic, social, and emotional development through tailored learning activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personalised Learning Support: Create and implement engaging and age-appropriate lessons that cater to the child's individual learning needs, including phonics, literacy, numeracy, and early problem-solving.
- Fostering Development: Support the child's social, emotional, and physical development, using strategies that promote confidence, self-regulation, and cooperation with peers and adults.
- Interactive Learning: Use a range of creative activities
- Observation & Progress Tracking: Monitor the child's progress regularly, making note of developmental milestones and areas for improvement. Provide feedback to parents or guardians as needed.
- Communication: Build a positive, nurturing relationship with the child, fostering a love of learning, and ensure clear communication with parents regarding progress, challenges, and successes.
- Behaviour Management: Use positive reinforcement techniques to manage behaviour and encourage respectful and cooperative interaction in a learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience working with young children, particularly in an EYFS or tutoring role. Experience with children with additional learning needs is a plus.
- Qualifications: A relevant qualification (e.g., a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education, EYFS Teaching Qualification, or similar)
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
- Passion: A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to making a positive impact on a child's early development.
- Patience & Flexibility: Ability to work at the child's pace and adapt teaching methods to meet his unique learning style.
- References: Ability to provide professional references to support previous experience with young children.
