We are seeking a dedicated Health & Social Care Teacher to join a Further Education College in Middleton on a fixed-term temporary contract for 12 months to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Level 1 to Level 3 Health and Social Care, as well as some T-Level courses. A knowledge of Science topics, particularly Anatomy, Psychology, and Biology, as they relate to Health and Social Care, will be highly beneficial.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching in Health and Social Care from Level 1 to Level 3 and T-Level courses.
  • Prepare engaging lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
  • Assess and evaluate student's work, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Stay current with developments in Health and Social Care education and integrate relevant Science topics into the curriculum.
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hold a Teaching Qualification (Ideally Level 5).
  • Relevant Degree qualification in Health and Social Care or a related field.
  • Must have experience teaching Health and Social Care Level 1-3 to learners in Further Education.
  • Understanding and ability to deliver content related to Anatomy, Psychology, and Biology within Health and Social Care.
  • Clear and Enhanced DBS on Update Service (Beneficial).
