Description

We are working with a FMCG Manufacturer who are looking for a Warehouse Technician to join their team based in South Manchester.

Responsibilities

  • To start up, run and shut down designated trucks to set procedures.
  • Efficiently follow the daily production plan ensuring due care and attention is paid to variety and product types.
  • To ensure the correct quality of palletised finished goods are available for dispatch.
  • To ensure at all times the appropriate equipment is used and in fit purpose
  • Be compliant to the standards expected in the use of moving / non-moving mechanical machinery.
  • A high standard of record keeping associated with any process.
  • Effectively communicate with the management team and other departments when required.
  • Fork Lift Truck driver.
  • Receive finished manufactured materials and allocate these to the correct location.
  • Ensuring the unloading of goods inwards is done timely and safely
  • Liaising with Production teams.
  • Assisting with the organisation and movement of incoming stock
  • To ensure orders are picked in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Ensuring accurate rotation and use of all raw materials, complying with a first in first out process.
  • Correctly and accurately return, locate, and book all stock.
  • Carry out reasonable requests made by chargehand / Supervisor

Qualifications, Experience and skills

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Fork lift truck licence
  • Confidentiality and professionalism in all undertakings.
  • Approachable, flexible and methodical.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Able to ensure good manufacturing, housekeeping, hygiene, and health and safety standards throughout shifts.
  • Adapts well to a fast paced, high-pressured environment.
  • Experience of warehouse, or production environment (desirable).
  • Fire, COSHH, Risk and Manual Handling Awareness Training (desirable).

Salary/Benefits/Shift Pattern

Salary:

  • £14.40 Per Hour (Average £35,500 Per Annum)

Schedule:

  • 12 hour shifts, Days and Nights
  • Average of 42 hours per week, 4 on 4 off, 12 hour shifts of 2x 07am-19pm & 2x 19pm-07am followed by 4 off.
