Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of schematics and mechanical systems, as well as proficiency in welding techniques. The Pipefitter will work closely with other tradespeople to ensure that all piping systems are functioning efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Interpret and work from schematics and blueprints to determine the layout of piping systems.
- Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform welding tasks, including stick welding and soldering, to create secure joints in piping systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of piping systems to identify any issues or areas for improvement.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot problems and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with industry standards and company policies.
Skills
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in assembling various types of piping systems.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to pipefitting tasks.
- Competent in welding techniques, including stick welding and soldering.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during installations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
