My client in the Trafford Park area require an experienced Tig Welder.

Duties of the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and be proficient in working with various materials, particularly sheet metal. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to fabricate components with precision. As a Welder, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products through expert welding practices.

Responsibilities

Perform welding on various materials, primarily sheet metal, ensuring high-quality welds.

Assemble and fabricate components according to engineering specifications and drawings.

Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete welding tasks.

Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all safety protocols.

Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Troubleshoot any welding issues that arise during the fabrication process.

Experience Required

Previous experience as a Welder/Fabricator

NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds certifications

The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Pipe welding experience (advantageous)

A flexible approach to work and willingness to work overtime when needed
