Job Title: Assistant Site Manager - Residential

Job Type: Temporary Starting Monday 11th Nov

Location: Colchester

Salary: £240 CIS per day

Working Hours: 7.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday

An experienced Assistant Site Manager is required to join our client for 1 - 2 months on a residential project near Colchester. You will be responsible for day-to-day site management and will work closely with the Site Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the construction site and ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct staff to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.
  • Handle site inspections and ensure quality control throughout the construction process.
  • Assist the Site Manager with planning, scheduling, and forecasting project requirements.

Desirable Experience

  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification – mandatory.
  • First Aid certification – mandatory.
  • CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card – mandatory.
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of current health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working on similar commercial/industrial projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
