Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner - 6-month contract poss longer

We have a temporary opportunity for an experienced finance professional to work for a great local organisation as a finance business partner.
Reporting to the Principal Finance Manager the role of management accountant will involve:
- Providing management accounting and decision support services to the management teams, incorporating financial planning and analysis, commercial support, performance monitoring and reporting
- Performance monitoring and reporting of actual results through the production of monthly Management Accounts, commentary and variance analysis, for multiple stakeholders
- Support the production of departmental annual Budgets and Forecasts, providing challenge and actively participating in Accountability reviews.
- Maintain and develop the management information reporting systems
- Financial planning and analysis to incorporate;
- Support the development and maintenance of financial models to support business planning and use in Corporate Plans, and Government Spending Reviews.
- Support the production of departmental annual Budgets and Forecasts, providing challenge and actively participating in Accountability reviews.
- Design of pricing models to support commercial opportunities and activities.
- Support production, review and critique of business cases.
- Support contract tender processes for goods and services.
- Undertake financial appraisals.
The ideal candidate for the role of management accountant will have a recognised accountancy qualification along with:
- 3 years practical management accounting / business partnering experience in the public or private sector, specifically; business partnering and planning and analysis
- Experience in utilising financial systems
- Advanced Excel user, intermediate proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications
- Available for a contract role
