Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner - 6-month contract poss longerMansfield / Hybrid 2-3 days per week c£41,083 - £45,648.00

We have a temporary opportunity for an experienced finance professional to work for a great local organisation as a finance business partner.

Reporting to the Principal Finance Manager the role of management accountant will involve:

  • Providing management accounting and decision support services to the management teams, incorporating financial planning and analysis, commercial support, performance monitoring and reporting
  • Performance monitoring and reporting of actual results through the production of monthly Management Accounts, commentary and variance analysis, for multiple stakeholders
  • Support the production of departmental annual Budgets and Forecasts, providing challenge and actively participating in Accountability reviews.
  • Maintain and develop the management information reporting systems
  • Financial planning and analysis to incorporate;
  • Support the development and maintenance of financial models to support business planning and use in Corporate Plans, and Government Spending Reviews.
  • Support the production of departmental annual Budgets and Forecasts, providing challenge and actively participating in Accountability reviews.
  • Design of pricing models to support commercial opportunities and activities.
  • Support production, review and critique of business cases.
  • Support contract tender processes for goods and services.
  • Undertake financial appraisals.

The ideal candidate for the role of management accountant will have a recognised accountancy qualification along with:

  • 3 years practical management accounting / business partnering experience in the public or private sector, specifically; business partnering and planning and analysis
  • Experience in utilising financial systems
  • Advanced Excel user, intermediate proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications
  • Available for a contract role
