A rapidly expanding manufacturer of complex precision components has two new vacancies for CNC Machinists to join the team. Offering excellent career development opportunities and working on a number of new programmes, candidates are sought with experience setting & operating CNC Milling Machines and will have worked in a highly regulated sector (aerospace, defence, energy, etc).

Commutable from: Mansfield, Nottingham, Derby, Alfreton, Chesterfield, Matlock.

Salary: 36,500 - 46,200 + benefits (including shift premium)

Suitable for: CNC Machinist, CNC Miller, CNC Programmer, CNC Setter.

Responsibilities:

Set and operate CNC machines to produce complex high-precision parts.

Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate machining.

Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure quality and accuracy.

Inspect finished components for conformance to customer specifications.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

Troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic maintenance when needed.

Collaborate with other team members and departments to meet production deadlines.

Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.

Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency.

The Person

Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with a strong focus on milling operations.

Good understanding in using either Fanuc, Heidenheim, Siemens or Mazatrol control systems.

Previous experience in the aerospace, automotive, energy or a highly regulated industry.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.

Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

A relevant qualification in engineering is preferred but not essential.
