Candidates are preferred to have school-based experience but those from healthcare, residential support, counseling, sports coaching, and mentoring backgrounds are also considered.

Empowering Learning are working in partnership with one of our alternate provision schools based in Mansfield. The school are looking to appoint 2x teaching assistants onto permanent contracts. School based experience is preferred but not essential. We are willing to consider people from:

The main duties within the role will be:

Supporting students on a 1:1 basis
Leading academic sessions around maths and English
Liaising with senior staff in school around progress of the children
De-escalating situations where challenging behaviour has arisen

This role will be full time and permanent and salary will be between £20,500 and £23,500 dependent upon experience and qualifications.
