With an estimated turnover of 2m, you will be working for an organisation that is predicting 8% organic growth every year and is operating at around 30% profitability.With a diverse client base nationally, the business operates in the distribution sector. This is a stable and dynamic organisation and a rare opportunity to take the helm of a thriving company.Your new roleAs Finance & Operations Manager / Managing Director Designate, you will be introduced into the senior management role with initial responsibilities that cover the overall financial systems and control of the organisation, financial and operational information production, and involvement in strategic and tactical decisions aimed at increasing the business's turnover and efficiency. Within this role you will have responsibility for end to end financial management.As the role develops, you will take on more responsibilities, eventually assuming the position of Managing Director, at which point you'll be responsible for board development, company and operational development. There will also be the responsibilities of being the chair of an organisational trust.What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful in this role, you will need to have demonstrable experience within a local SME (ideally 10m or less) where you will have gained exposure to operational responsibilities as well as financial. Ideally, you will have experience of logistics and distribution, and experience developing and utilising various IT systems. Qualified Accountancy status would be beneficial for this role, though those that are qualified by experience would also be considered and experience with trusteeship would also be highly beneficial.
