We are recruiting for an Audit & Accounts Senior to join a well-established and highly regarded independent accountancy firm in Mansfield.   • Lead and assist in audit engagements for a range of clients, including limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
  • Oversee all stages of the audit process, from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare audit working papers and review financial statements under FRS 102 and UK GAAP.
  • Prepare year-end accounts for various clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with corporation tax computations and VAT returns.
  • Work closely with clients, providing expert guidance and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Use accounting software such as Caseware, Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in audit and accounts within an accountancy practice.
  • ACA, ACCA, or AAT qualifications are advantageous, but QBE candidates with strong experience will be considered.
  • Strong understanding of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and auditing standards.
  • Experience in accounts preparation, tax computations, and VAT returns.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication and client management skills.
