Job Opportunity: Estimator

Our client is a renowned National and European Contractor specialising in the design and installation of Mechanical & Electrical, Specialist Lighting, and Renewable Technologies. Due to significant growth, we are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team.

Working on a wide variety of projects, our client is a market leader in a niche sector that includes sports stadiums, hortuculture, renewablesand mechanical engineering, as an Estimator you would be tasked with helping the commercial team grow even bigger.

Location: Nottinghamshire Salary: Up to £60k Start Date: Immediate

Project Values: Up to £3m

Key Duties:

  1. Tender Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate tenders for M&E projects.

  2. Cost Analysis: Perform comprehensive cost analysis for electrical installations.

  3. Material Takeoff: Conduct material takeoff and estimate required quantities.

  4. Vendor Liaison: Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and negotiate terms.

  5. Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential project risks and include appropriate contingencies.

  6. Bid Documentation: Develop complete and thorough bid documentation.

  7. Technical Evaluation: Evaluate project specifications and technical requirements.

  8. Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to clarify project requirements and tender details.

  9. Cost Reporting: Produce cost reports and financial projections for management.

  10. Project Handover: Assist in the handover process from estimating to project execution.
