Our client in Sutton in Ashfield is looking for a Fabricator to join their team on a permanent basis on day shifts. Our client specialises in the Aerospace industry producing a variety of components and structures all the precision tolerances. The ideal candidate will come from a sheet metal background and be confident fabricating thin gauge metal including aluminium, titanium and composite metals.
Job Description: Fabricator
Sheet Metal Fabrication for the Aerospace industry
Deburring, polishing and finishing products ready for inspection
Drilling and countersinking
Working to AS9001 quality standards
Reading and working from engineering drawings
Turret punch sheet metal work
Working with materials including but not limited to aluminium, titanium and aerospace composites
Using hand and power tools
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
Skilled fabricator of sheet metal
Able to fabricate from scratch
Must be able to work from drawings
Confident fabricating a variety of metals including exotic metals
Able to work with 0.1mm - 10mm gauges
Skilled in working to tight tolerances
Ideally have worked within aerospace but will consider other industries
Package: Fabricator
Paying up to £15 per hour
Day shifts: Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 16:00 & Friday 12:30 finish
Permanent role
Overtime available paid at a premium
