Long Term Futures is partnering with a secondary school in Mansfield (NG18) to appoint Tutors for small group tutoring of Year 11 students in preparation for GCSE's.

Tutors are needed for English and Maths, and the school seeks individuals who can work independently to promote academic progress across varied abilities. Tutoring will take place within the school.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide focused tutoring sessions in English or Maths to small groups of Year 11 students in preparation for GCSE Examinations.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of students.
  • Collaborating with subject teachers to develop effective strategies for student improvement.
  • Identify gaps in student learning, provided focused tuition in these areas.
  • Use a variety of strategies to engage students with different learning styles.

The schools are looking to appoint someone who:

  • Have experience in providing tutoring to small groups of students.
  • A relevant qualification is desirable.
  • Possess strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • An in date Enhanced DBS is a requirement for this role (we can support with this).
