Salary: 20 Per Hour

Long Term Futures is partnering with a secondary school in Mansfield (NG16) to appoint Academic Tutors for small group tutoring of Year 11 students in preparation for GCSE's. Tutors are needed for English and Maths, and the school seeks ambitious, self-motivated individuals who can work independently to promote academic progress across varied abilities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide focused tutoring sessions in English or Maths to small groups of Year 11 students in preparation for GCSE Examinations.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of students.
  • Collaborating with subject teachers to develop effective strategies for student improvement.
  • Identify gaps in student learning, provided focused tuition in these areas.
  • Use a variety of strategies to engage students with different learning styles.

The schools are looking to appoint someone who:

  • A degree in English/Maths, or QTS is desirable.
  • Have experience in providing tutoring to small groups of students.
  • Possess strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • An in date Enhanced DBS is a requirement for this role (we can support with this).
