Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a dynamic and varied role where you can make a real impact? We are seeking a proactive and dedicated HR Officer to join our client’s team and support the smooth operation of their HR function across multiple locations.

About the Role

As an HR Officer, you will play a key role in delivering a timely, effective, and commercially focused HR service. You will support leaders and managers across various sites, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice in recruitment and employee relations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing sickness absence casework, including long- and short-term cases, and advising on strategies to reduce lost working days.

  • Preparing attendance reports and analysing trends.

  • Taking notes at formal HR meetings.

  • Conducting compliance checks and audits to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

  • Supporting organisational change initiatives and employee relations matters, including formal hearings.

  • Maintaining HR records and advising on best practice in safer recruitment.

  • Providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employee relations, including disciplinary and grievance cases.

  • Supporting HR projects, training, and induction processes.

  • Assisting with recruitment advertising, candidate assessments, and on-boarding processes.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in an HR role with a strong understanding of employee relations and HR best practices.

  • Knowledge of employment law and HR policies.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
