At ALPLA, we stand for high-quality plastic packaging throughout the world. Around 22,000 colleagues produce quality packaging for foodstuffs, cosmetics and industrial cleaning brands for many blue chip clients across 182 ALPLA sites in 46 countries.
We now need to strengthen our Mansfield site and have multiple FLT Driver opportunities.
Your Duties:
- Working in a busy packing environment moving finished packed products
- Bring all required packing materials to the packing lines.
- Safe and correct use of equipment including an FLT in a heavy pedestrian area.
- Identifying poor quality in either materials or finished goods.
- Flexibility to undertake new tasks as required.
- Work with in housekeeping and 5S guidelines to improve both efficiency and safety
- To ensure that all daily paperwork is correctly filled in and up to date.
- To ensure that all incoming consignments are checked against documentation.
- To report any discrepancies to warehouse manager /assistant manager/charge hand.
You Profile - we are interested in applicants who can provide:
- Experience working in a fast paced production/manufacturing environment
- Experience working as a team
- Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent)
- Fork Lift Truck license (Counterbalance) + 12 months experience operating an FLT
- Able to adhere to strict health and safety guidelines within a busy manufacturing environment
