Annie A Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager for a manufacturing company based in Mansfield. Heading up the Procurement Function and managing one member of staff, you will be responsible for consistent management of all procurement activities across the business.

Applicants must have been working in procurement for a minimum of 2 year's and ideally have management exposure. Experience of working within a manufacturing or FMCG environment where quality control and health and safety measures are key would be an advantage but is not essential.

Duties:

  • Manage the Procurement team to ensure staff performance is in line with business performance
  • Identify and manage the selection and approval of suppliers through competitive tender and the creation of supplier contracts in line with business supplier management procedures
  • Establish and manage both internal (product lines / support) and external supply chains in line with business objectives and in relation to supplier performance and adherence to contractual agreements
  • Ensure material stocks are managed effectively and efficiently in line with company policy
  • Ensure the development and implementation of purchasing controls, procedures and processes in line with Company procedures
  • Conduct contract reviews to manage performance of key suppliers and instigate corrective actions as appropriate
  • Develop and manage a set of Key Performance Indicators for the procurement function for internal reporting on business performance and external customer reporting
  • Manage the procurement of Safety Critical components with appropriate levels of assurance and end to end traceability.
  • Provide general support to the Senior Management Team as required
