Maintenance Engineer

Location: Mansfield

Salary: £52,000 per annum

Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (Days & Nights)

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced FMCG environment in Mansfield. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of critical production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. You will work on a variety of machinery, including conveyors, packaging lines, and other essential production systems, using both your electrical and mechanical expertise to keep everything running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct both planned and reactive maintenance on a range of production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair faults on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ensure equipment is operating at optimal levels to meet production demands.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth operations and minimal disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and any issues identified.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Participate in health and safety audits and ensure all work complies with safety regulations.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience as a Maintenance Engineer, ideally in an FMCG environment.
  • Proficient in both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
  • Familiar with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and industrial machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations within manufacturing environments.
  • Flexibility to work on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (days and nights).
