Operations Director Mansfield Competitive salary plus benefits The Engineering & Manufacturing division of SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Operations Director to join one of our growing clients based in Mansfield. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role will focus on operational excellence, continuous improvement, strategic leadership to drive growth, improvement to service quality, and enhance customer satisfaction. Scope of role - Lead, manage, and oversee the day-to-day operations of the business. - Implement and maintain effective operational processes to streamline workflow and reduce inefficiencies. - Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, building regulations, and health & safety guidelines across all operations. - Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations and long-term partnerships. - Identify new market opportunities, service lines, and technological advancements to enhance operational capabilities and expand the company's footprint. - Manage a team of field technicians, project managers, and other operational staff to ensure successful service delivery. - Conduct performance reviews and set clear, achievable objectives for operational staff to ensure high levels of performance. Essential Criteria - Minimum of 8-10 years in operational leadership roles, preferably within the fire door maintenance, construction, or building services industries. - Relevant industry certifications related to fire door safety, maintenance, or building regulations (e.g., FIRAS certification) are highly desirable - Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field would be relevant but not essential for an experienced applicant . A relevant master's degree (e.g., MBA) is a plus - Proven track record in managing teams, with strong leadership and people management skills. - Experience managing budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting.
