Your new companyThis client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Officer to join their team.Your new role

  • Manage monthly and weekly payrolls using workdays.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Handle pensions automatic enrolment.
  • Process new hires and terminations.
  • Manage absences including SSP, SAP, SMP, SPP, ShPP.
  • Review exception reports to identify anomalies.
  • Liaise effectively with HR, line managers, finance, benefits administrators, external providers, and HMRC.
  • Respond to pay-related queries from staff, HMRC, and other bodies.
  • Assist in reporting annual ONS data.
  • Provide accurate and timely payroll services.
  • Offer advice and guidance to employees and managers.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in high-volume payroll processing.
  • In-depth knowledge of PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP, SAP.
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with RTI processes.
  • Knowledge of pensions auto-enrolment legislation.
  • Recent experience with Workday payroll system is ideal
