Communications Officer- Mansfield - Temporary for 6 months - Up to £34,818 per annumCherry Professional are pleased to be working with their public sector client on a rare and exciting opportunity for a Communications Officer. The role is for a period of 6 months and requires the successful candidate to provide an exceptional level of service in relation to the organisations external communications methods and stratagies. Responsibilies
  • Conduct thorough stakeholder analysis to identify key individuals, groups, and organizations relevant to infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder maps, assessing their interests, concerns, and influence on the projects.
  • Develop clear and effective communication plans to disseminate project updates, milestones, and potential impacts to stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with local communities, government agencies, NGOs, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Organize community events, public consultations, and information sessions to gather feedback and address concerns.
  • Proactively identify potential issues and concerns raised by stakeholders and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with project teams to address and resolve stakeholder issues promptly.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and internal project teams to ensure alignment with community needs and expectations.
  • Provide regular updates on stakeholder sentiment and feedback to project managers.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and adjust strategies based on feedback and results.
Ideal Person
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement, preferably within the context of infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of community dynamics, public relations, and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Project management skills and attention to detail.
