Procurement Business Partner£42,931k-£47,702 Dept on Exp Mansfield / Hybrid Excellent benefits package

We are looking for an experienced procurement professional to join our wonderful client in the Mansfield area to act as Procurement Expert and Advisor for the business.

Your role Procurement Business Partner will be to:

  • Provide a comprehensive, business focused procurement and commercial service, ensuring that best value for money is achieved.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business teams and influencing procurement decision making.
  • Deliver effective contracts and design new commercial arrangements taking into consideration business requirements and risk.
  • Mange the negotiation, planning and placing of contracts.
  • Effectively manage suppliers and contracts to sustain value throughout the life of contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with European and UK legislation.
  • Ensure that appropriate approvals and correct commercial contract documentation and conditions of contract are applied.
  • Provide and deliver training on procurement procedures and policies.
  • Produce management information and reports.

The ideal candidate for the role of procurement business partner will have:

  • Professionally qualified in Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS)
  • Previous procurement / buying experience and Contract Management
  • Experience of managing and prioritising multiple procurement projects
  • Must be available to work on a contract basis
  • Knowledge of Procurement best practice and procedures
  • Knowledge of UK and EU legislation
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Ideally experienced within local government procurement or contract management
