Elevation are working with an established household name, who are looking for a talented and experienced Cost Manager to deliver comprehensive commercial support for UK & EU projects. This role will encompass all project types, ensuring effective project management and financial oversight.
Key Responsibilities of the Cost Manager:
- Provide commercial support across the Capital Expenditure programme for all project types and facias.
- Assist in creating feasibility estimates and provide commercial insights during the initial concept design phase.
- Support development appraisals for new store openings and refit programmes in the UK and EU.
- Produce global reports on monthly costs and cash flows.
- Maintain and enhance the commercial and contractual documentation suite.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and the Cost Management team to update the cost model as project requirements change.
- Manage relationships and coordinate with external Quantity Surveyors (QS) across multiple projects.
- Negotiate and present project costs and proposals effectively to internal stakeholders.
- Oversee and control multi-million pound projects in a dynamic environment.
Skills and Qualifications of the Cost Manager:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Demonstrated experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within the retail sector.
- An in-depth experience of projects exceeding £1m is preferred.
- Experience with refits and new store developments, particularly in the EU preferred.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Exceptional analytical and reporting skills.
