Our client is a British retail, sport and intellectual property group encompassing the worlds most iconic sport, retail and luxury brands.
Due to an increase in their current work load they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in South Yorkshire. Initially you will be working/supporting the Senior QS that is in post with a view to stepping up into the Senior QS role going forwards.
Responsibilities
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and manage budgets.
• Lead and manage project teams
• Administer contracts and manage tender processes.
• Conduct risk management and value engineering assessments.
• Monitor and report on project costs and progress.
• Provide expert advice on cost management and procurement strategies.
Qualifications/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional membership (e.g., RICS, AIQS, etc.) preferred or working towards this.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quantity surveying.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
This is an excellent opportunity to move into a client side role from a Consultancy and offers excellent progression from QS to Senior QS.
